There was a time when work-related injuries and even deaths were considered a “cost” of doing business.  However today, workplace accidents and incidents are considered both socially and morally unacceptable. Workplace accidents DO happen but proper accident investigation can go a long way in ensuring it doesn’t happen again.

Managers, supervisors, Joint Health and Safety Committee members and Health and Safety Representatives.

Course Outline
Participants will learn about:

• Types of accidents and incidents
• Reporting obligations, both internal and external
• Investigation process, including securing the scene and collecting data through investigation techniques/interviews
• Written reports and recommendations 
• Basic fundamentals of an Early and Safe Return to Work for injured or ill workers.
