The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) is in place to govern the safe use, storage, handling and disposal of hazardous products within Canadian workplaces.

This online course is designed to provide workers with specific information for working with hazardous products under WHMIS 2015 only. Based on the assumption that workers are familiar with WHMIS legislation and regulations, it focuses on specific elements within WHMIS that will aid workers in working safely.

Who Should Take This Course?
Workers within Canadian workplaces who work with or may be exposed to hazardous products under WHMIS.

*** NOTE: This course focuses on the WHMIS 2015 (GHS) regulations only.

Course Outline
Topics in this course include:

  • Hazardous product classifications and symbols
  • Safety data sheet and labelling requirements
